Wills - Reed

This particular Wills family descended from John Albert Berryman Wills (1843-1919) of St Uny Lelant, Cornwall, England and Ann Reed (1836-1905). They married in St George's Church, Truro, Cornwall on August 16, 1866 and together arrived in North America.

Exactly where John and Ann arrived, New York or Canada, has not been discovered. They had six children. Five lived into adulthood and had families of their own: 
  • Emma Elystra Wills (1868-1922) who married George Lewis Ricker (1871-1924) and lived primarily in Bennington County, Vermont.
  • William Henry Wills (1869-1931) whose first wife was Marie Parmelia Arbour (1874-1906). His children lived in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He married a second time but there were no children.
  • Annie Wills (1871-1871) died in infancy.
  • Annie Elizabeth Wills, "Aunt Liz", (1872-1935) who married Patrick White and lived in Greenwich, Washington County, New York.  
  • John Albert Wills (1873-1937), the grandfather of this writer and frequent subject of stories, who married Elizabeth Bissonnette (1880-1936) and lived in Cohoes, Albany County AND Schuylerville, Saratoga County, in New York.
  • Henrietta "Etta Wills" (1875-1940) who married Abraham Grover (1862-1913) and lived in Somerset County, Maine, USA
