French Churches of Cohoes, Part II
St Marie's began as a mission church of St Joseph's. Here are pictures of St Marie's which is now called Holy Trinity Parish
I was baptised there by Pere' Bechard. Mother Rose used to tell a story of how during WWII dad visited,in his Coast Guard uniform from his post in NYC. He attended the weekly confession and was in w/ Pere Bechard for the better part of an hour, causing irritation for those in line, causing them to cast looks at my mother in a pew, probably thinking "what has this sailor done?". Turns out dad and the pastor were discussing Yankee baseball...or so he told mother.
