Mother ...I was baptised there by Pere' Bechard. Mother Rose used to tell a story of how during WWII dad visited,in his Coast Guard uniform from his post in NYC. He attended the weekly confession and was in w/ Pere Bechard for the better part of an hour,causing irritation for those in line, causing them to cast looks at my mother in a pew,probably thinking "what has this sailor done?".
